Rowster Coffee was introduced to me by a proud Privada member, Kyle Anderson. When we initially indicated we would be working on a coffee program, Kyle sent me a very enthusiastic email raving about Rowster’s selection. After contacting them, they promptly sent samples and I was HOOKED. Every roast I tried was better than the last. My favorite might still be URSA, but every roast from Rowster is special.
Named after the endless rivers, dams and kayaking/canoeing adventures of Grand Rapids, Rowster is all about local community pride. What started as one man roasting at home to experiment in 2005 has now grown into a mini coffee enterprise. There are 2 beautiful cafes in key Grand Rapids neighborhoods as well as a separate roasting location.
