Description
Tasting Notes: On the body, I get apricot, a sweetness like a fruit-roll up, and rich tobacco. On the foot, it’s dried apples and fig newtons all day. On the cold draw, there’s pepper spice, dried fruits, fig newtons, dried figs, and apple chips. Once I light the cigar, I get white pepper on the retrohale, plus a buttered toast and something I can only describe as sour wood. Its fruity, and I’m getting a warm spiced apple cider and a sour apple cider vinegar. There’s breads, musty wood, applewood, lime salt, cinnamon, and lots of fruitiness. The end of the first third is apple pie, wood, spice, and cinnamon for sure. In the second third, I’m getting vanilla, lime, salt, bay seasoning, and a raspberry or a particularly tart strawberry. There’s also a charcoal-like note that keeps popping in and out. This thing is hard to pin down. Later in the second third, there’s honey, molasses, dank wood, and a white pepper. The start of the final third is salty and zesty. I’m getting leather, apple cider vinegar, and black pepper on the finish. The smoke is creamy but I’m also getting a savory, peaty, beef jerky flavor. There’s a vanilla and root beer barrel sweetness in the mix. At the end of this cigar, the woods and the fruits I’ve been tasting throughout kind of meld together into one note. The floral and apple notes come back, and right before I put the cigar out, there’s graham and a cumin or masala flavor that definitely reminds me of Indian food. Amazing!
Pairing notes: Apple Cider. Hard Cider. After apple pie. Apple brandy. Cognac. Lowland Scotch. After a steak and potato. Root beer float. Cream soda. Caramel cream candies. Pecan pie. Shout out @espinosacigars on Instagram and let them know we need more!!
