Description
Tasting Notes: On the body I get corn husk, honeysuckle and a white delicate flower like gardenia. On the foot I smell Rold Gold pretzels on some and Corn Chips on other samples.
The cold draw is dried peaches and apricots. The first third starts with some of the dried peach we picked up on the cold draw, black pepper and vanilla. There is white toast on the retrohale and a vanilla cereal kind of flavor. I get notes of dried fruits, charred cedar, roasted cashew and Honey Smacks cereal notes all wrapped in a nut butter texture. Holy cow are we off to a GREAT start. The second third finds notes of white toast, the aroma of maple syrup, hibiscus tea, and creamy, buttery smoke. At times I get nuances of freeze dried strawberries. The construction is perfect. In the final third we get floral notes, white toast, white pepper and buttered popcorn. On the nub we find an orange citrus along with a floral twang and salt on the tongue. This thing really wowed me!Pairing Notes: Lindt chocolate, butterscotch, cognac, aged rum, Fruity beers, light roast coffee, Jack Daniels, pop corn, sushi, lobster or shrimp. I feel like this would be especially good after fried chicken or shrimp.
