Pure, indigenous  Dominican tobacco. That is 1491. This is not a blend. This is what happens when you take the original Dominican Corojo tobacco and simply make a cigar with it. This is the closest possible modern interpretation of what the great Taíno people, native to the Caribbean, were smoking before Columbus arrived. This is how amazing Dominican tobacco really is, in its purest form. These would be the cigars of a cacique– a Taíno chief.

Overall great smoke, I definitely got toasted sesame pretty much through the entire cigar. I was surprised that in the first third I was hit also with peanut butter that dropped off quickly, it did make another strong but brief appearance into the second third. Throughout the first and second thirds I also picked up what I thought was like burnt toast along with the sesame which later in the last third became more like wheat bread. This cigar had a great burn, and smoked slow, the smoke was light airy yet satisfying. A delight to the end…. wanted to fire up a second one right away.
I think this would pair well with Root Beer and Dark Chocolate.

This was a very good smoke, to me it was leathery, it had some pepper at light up, hints of espresso, and some mint or menthol some sort of hints of freshness that will come and go, and Toasted bread as well. No problems with the construction and a very show and pleasant smoke. I paired it with Lellenda a Dominican Rum that really brings out the sweetness in the cigar a fantastic pairing.

Very good construction and perfect burn. Peanut butter and a yeasty bread flavor with hints of espresso faint leather tones. Retro had some spice and black pepper. Paired this with some Mandala Extra Anejo tequila which has some rich caramel flavor and they married up very well together. Very enjoyable cigar!
