Description
Wrapper: Corojo ’99
Binder: Nicaraguan
Fillers: Criollo ’98 and Corojo ’99
Body: A unique blend of rawhide and canned peaches.
Foot: A combination of warm white bread and a faint hint of canned peaches.
Cold Draw: Iced sweet raspberry tea, cedar, and bread flavors.
Tasting Notes: The first third is truly special, embodying the essence of Nicaragua. It showcases the Nicaraguan gold, Habano Cuban seed, and volcanic soils that have shaped the industry for generations. Bright orange, apricots, cream, red pepper, and fresh-cut cedar create a near-perfect, full-flavored, spicy Nicaraguan cigar. As you progress, berry notes emerge.
The red pepper and apricot flavors persist, accompanied by cedar, cream, and the unmistakable aroma of a well-fermented tobacco pilon. Canned peaches, cedar’s sharpness, and voluminous clouds of smoke infused with charcoal further enhance the experience.
In the final third, the cigar calms slightly, but the rich Nicaraguan tobacco continues to burst with flavors of apricot, red pepper, cream, cedar, and nuttiness. The softer finish leaves you longing for more as you reach the nub.
Pairing Notes: Iced raspberry tea, peach iced tea, amber ale, chardonnay, aged rum, sparkling water, dark chocolate, fresh apricots, peach cobbler, creamy cheeses, spicy dishes, grilled or smoked meats, berry-infused desserts.
