The 1st third opens with a lot of spice, particularly on the retro. I get lots of black pepper and cinnamon with a hint of an aniseed flavour, almost a licorice. The spice quickly fades leaving a creamy aged tobacco smoke.
The strength picks up in the 2nd third. I’m getting a cream coffee flavour and the smoke is still very smooth. The burn is razor sharp and the draw perfect.
The final third continues with coffee notes and the strength continues to build.
I enjoyed the New Word Puro, definitely lives up to AJ Fernandez.
