The process of mastering any craft involves both triumphs and trials. It’s often said, and I find it to be true in my own experience, that we glean more wisdom from our mistakes than our successes. This sentiment resonates with me in the case of these Barrel Aged Rejects. They simply didn’t meet the aesthetic standards for sale under the barrel aged program.

However, perfection is the benchmark we aim for at Privada Cigar Club, for our friends, family, and valued consumers. Given this, I thought: why not seize this opportunity to offer you these less-than-perfect yet less expensive examples of our Barrel Aged cigars?

“Post production aging has always been a specialty of ours here at Privada Cigar Club. After doing our first bourbon collaboration, we asked if we could have the barrels that had been used to create our exclusive bourbon to then age cigars in. The result was one of the most flavorful cigars we have ever smoked, and we have smoked a lot of cigars. The cigars in the Privada Barrel Aged program are aged in ex-bourbon barrels for a minimum of 3 months. They are then balanced with two way humidification for perfect smoking conditions. This is not an infused cigar, it is simply aged in oak barrels. Enjoy the difference.”
