Its original blends were whispered about among cigar aficionados and praised within the blogosphere. For curious enthusiasts, acquiring even a single cigar seemed an insurmountable task, requiring either well-placed connections or navigating the murky waters of the grey market. However, amidst strong headwinds and the regulatory clout of the FDA, Chogui quietly vanished from the scene in 2018.
Enter Kyle Gellis of Warped Cigars, alongside his new distribution venture, Venture 1492. Specializing in bringing forth the next wave of small-batch boutique brands to a broader audience, Gellis saw the dormant Chogui brand as an ideal candidate for resurrection. Thus, Warped Chogui emerges back onto the market, reintroducing the Dos77 Corojo in its original size. Known as the Chogüí Dos77 Rogusto Extra, this cigar measures 5 1/2×50 boasting a robust and substantial build.
