The description for this cigar needs reviewing. There is definitely a sweetening process of sorts applied on this tobacco. You get hints of vanilla & caramel off the wrapper, but on the cold draw you immediately get hit with sugary sweetness, and a sticky mouth feel. It threw me off and I disliked the first third as the sweetness dominated (and my initial disappointment clouded my objectivity) . Half way through dark, maduro like qualities came through and I started to enjoy the flavors and smoothness. On research I’ve read that the tobacco is a Cavendish pipe tobacco, which the pleasant room note would confirm. There is a time and place for this cigar – what I would call a desert cigar – especially when you want a change of pace. I’ll be keeping a couple in the humidor, especially when newer smokers visit who would enjoy what could almost be called an aromatic..
