Drew Estate’s Liga Privada is popular not only amongst consumers but also amongst Drew Estate’s cigar rollers. The T52 was the roller’s cigar of choice, but they smoked so many that it became a problem. Drew Estate instead allowed the rollers to create their own blend using leaves from the plants that T52 came from but not the actual leaves used in the T52. Thus, the Undercrown is born. Full-bodied, rich, creamy, chocolatey, earthy, and just a touch spicy. A real-home run, especially for the price.

The first third opens up with a hint of black pepper, nothing too spicy. I’m getting chocolate on the finish.
A little way into the 1st third I pick up notes of cream and a generic biscuit flavour.
The 2nd third sees the biscuit transition into an oat flavour. It mixes with the cream well and reminds me of a porridge.
The final third has a generic sweetness to it. Flavours have become quite earthy as the cigar heated up.
