Tasting Notes: In the first third of this cigar, I was immediately struck by the sweet notes reminiscent of corn syrup, complemented by the bold flavors of black pepper and cedar. The smoke was incredibly rich and creamy, with the sweetness almost overwhelming my taste buds at times. As I continued to smoke, I noticed the black pepper gradually giving way to white pepper, and the fruit-like sweetness becoming more complex and nuanced. The interplay of flavors left my palate questioning what was happening next.
As I moved into the second third, I was transported back to my childhood with a burst of candy flavors. The sweetness reminded me of candy corn and bubble gum, but it didn’t linger for long before giving way to tangy spices that reminded me of tamarind and Thai cuisine. The white pepper and creamy notes from the first third were still present, rounding out the overall flavor profile.
By the time I reached the final third, it became clear that this cigar was truly something special. It had all the right notes to make it a legendary smoke – cedar and oak mingled with white pepper, tropical fruits, and just the right amount of sweetness, salt, spice, and bitter to balance it all out. The interplay of flavors was simply stunning, leaving me with a WOW factor that lingered long after the cigar was finished. Overall, this was one of the most flavorful cigars I’ve ever smoked, and I can’t wait to experience it again.
Pairing Notes: Tropical trail mix, rum, piña colada, bubble gum, bubble gum ice cream, sorbet of any kind but raspberry will be best, light and sweet coffee, espresso with lemon, IPA beers.
