Body: Sweet cereal grain.
Foot: Sweet cereal grain.
Cold Draw: Sweet condensed milk, cereal grain, on some samples I get tea, and sesame seed.
Tasting Notes: In the first third I am met with frosted flakes, honey, hay, salted roasted almonds, creamy rich smoke, and charred cedar on the retro. There is a cinnamon spice that tingles and satisfies the palate and the sinus on the retro. I also get a wafting vanilla waffle cone on some puffs. WHOA!
In the second third, I start getting notes of banana bread and powdered sugar. Vanilla, cream, black pepper, charred cedar, and lots of tingly cinnamon on the finish. I am really pleased with this cigar thus far. Closer to the final third I’m getting coffee bean notes, faint toffee, charred cedar, and cinnamon finish.
In the final third sweet cedar, white pepper, french toast, vanilla, almond, and bakers spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar, and cream. This has been quite an experience and one I will not forget at the end of the year when I rank the club cigars.
Pairing Notes: Light and sweet coffee, or light roast coffee. Popcorn. Scotch of any kind. Rose hip tea. Caramel. Vanilla ice cream. Pancakes with maple syrup.
