Kafie 1901 Cigars Culebra

The Kafie 1901 Culebra, 6×38 and made with Nicaraguan Maduro wrapper, a Honduran binder from Jamastran, and fillers from the Jamastran region and Jalapa.

The vision behind creating this blend was to honor the history of premium cigars. Culebras were first introduced to the world by the Phillipines pre -1850’s. At the turn of the century these curvy cigars made they way to the United States where it is said that production of such a style became popular from 1890 – 1910. It wasn’t until the 1930’s that the ever so popular Culebra cigar made it’s way to Cuba. Today, such cigars are offered by many factories around the world. Dr. Kafie says “this is our version”. Kafie takes special pride in manner in which tobacco is fermented and processed at their factory. He says it’s the way it was done in Cuba back in the 1930’s – 1950’s before the revolution. That’s what separates this offering from all other Culebra offerings on the market today.
