Description
Kafie’s Ethiopian coffee is a bold, unique coffee processed using a special semi-washed technique where the fruit of the coffee cherry is left on the bean during the drying process. This technique adds an intense, bright note of sweetness to the coffee’s flavor profile, providing heightened mouthfeel and a well-rounded touch of acidity. After washing and drying, they then roast the beans to achieve a delicate balance of caramelization of the natural sugars in the coffee.

If you like coffee from the country where coffee originated, then you’ll love this coffee! It’s not the bitter over roasted stuff at the place where you buy the over hyped over roasted bitter $5 a cup coffee. This coffee is the real deal. Smooth, delicious and begging you to make another cup! In an aeropress, can’t be beat!

When you open the bag, you might be worried that this is a very dark roast. It smells very dark, and for me that means bitter.
But once you brew it, things mellow and the other notes can be tasted. It is still a darker roast then other Ethiopian coffee I have had, so the floral and sweat notes are replaced with deeper flavors of coco.
Overall it is good, but would be truly outstanding with a lighter roast.
