Kristoff Privada Cigar Club Exclusive Lancero 2019 AKA The 50 Shades
7 1/2 x 40
Kristoff, a brand rich in fine tobaccos, brings a blend exclusively for Privada members. This is the second time we have featured a Kristoff cigar in our box. The folks at Kristoff were so happy with your support on social media with the first cigar that they wanted to grow our partnership. With all the hype about Broadleaf being too expensive for the smaller boutique brands to use, my first inclination was to request a Broadleaf cigar! I also said we have not had a lancero in a while so let’s make it a lancero! We exchanged some info on blend preferences and after a few tries, decided this was the winner. My vision for this project was to create a “FINISHER” cigar- something with a little bite to end the evening; something powerful enough in flavor to be the go-to cigar when other cigars were just too light on the palate. I also affectionately call this cigar the Baker’s Dozen because the bread notes in it are so prominent. Please thank @kristoffcigars on social media and let them know @privadacigarclub sent you! In fact, I had a blueberry cheese the other night that would be perfect with this cigar!! #weareprivada

My son and I absolutely loved this stick. Amazing does NOT do this lancero justice. After smoking I came to this site to see if they were available and could not believe they were only $8. Great addition to this months box.

Gorgeous rich, firm, dark, oily, well-constructed wrapper.
I straight-cut the shag (pigtail) foot and gave the cap a cat’s-eye cut.
The cold-draw thru one nostril produced a barnyard smell.
I love lanceros, but if a cigar has a problematic draw, chances are it’s a lancero! And the draw on this Kristoff was exceptional for a lancero — a bit firm, but not annoying at all.
The burn was perfect and didn’t require any extra attention or effort to keep going. This cigar sits and waits for you between draws.
The ash was clean, even, and fell in firm, solid, one-inch chunks.
Kristoff’s smoke was smooth, thick, plentiful, and a bit oily — very nice.
As usual, I didn’t experience most of other reviewers’ vast array of tastes and nuances (!); what I found was a consistent earthy, barnyard, slightly sweet taste.
This baby starts out mild in the first third and then picks up to very nearly full-bodied going into the final third! The “lump in my throat” feeling I got at the end (which I like) makes me wonder if there’s not ligero and/or Brazilian tobacco in this thin little beauty?!
Cool and consistent right up to the toothpick holding the nub!
49 minutes.
