The La Palina Illumination blend was created in response to the La Palina Goldie by owner Bill Paley. He wanted to create a cigar that was more available and less expensive than the sought-after Goldie. This blend is the same as the Goldie, but instead of using the rare Medio Tiempo leaf, it uses Ligero. Other than that one replacement, the blend is exactly the same. This cigar is produced in the El Titan de Bronze factory in Little Havana, Miami. The wrapper is an Ecuadorian Habano, and the binder is Ecuadorian as well, with Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers. This cigar has notes of notes of earth, nuts, and black pepper.
