Thumbs up all the way. With My Fathers being my daily smoke, apologies up front for the bias. Gave this fellow a pre-lit V cut and drew it down with a good High West Rye (better ask somebody). The promise here is an accentuated My Father blend that does not disappoint – reeks “man shit” from top to bottom, with a healthy tar on the palate that’s buttery smooth, creamy and woody in all the good ways. First third is sweet with pepper and sea salt on the finish and travels the same all the way down. Yeah, you get some leather in there, but more so with the nutty wood and cream. This cigar takes you on a journey and you’re surprised when it’s over. I enjoy heft robustos, but this is exceptional – a true masterpiece that serves you well with cognac, rye or an old fashioned (I had all three). A box of these a month is my goal. Get you some.
