Description
Wrapper: Dominican Viso from the Cibao Valley
Binder: Brazil
Fillers: San Vicente, Piloto Cubano and Flojo from Paraguay
Body: Sweet vanilla cream, milk chocolate.
Foot: Cayenne pepper, milk chocolate.
Cold Draw: Hay, sugar cookie.
Tasting Notes: In the first third I get notes of cedar and golden raisin before it goes into white pepper, orange blossom, dried tart cherry, and a velvet-like smoke that is easy on the mouth.
The second third sees floral notes become more prominent. That orange blossom flower note from the first third shines here, along with rose hip tea and other floral teas. The retrohale is mostly white pepper but it has a note of cola that feels effervescent.
In the final third we transition to herbal notes, like dried rosemary. I also find notes of hay, toasted cashew, buttered toast and a beautiful rich smoke that is easy on the palate. This is a mellow cigar that I imagine some of you are going to be crazy about!
Pairing Notes: Cherry Coke, Jack Daniels, sugar cookies, raisins, roasted nuts, cafecito and toast, dried cherries, various hebal teas
