Welcome to the first installment of the Privada Cigar Club Vitola Character Series. Mr. Lancero AKA Laguita #1. Mr. Lancero was originated at the current Cohiba factory in Cuba around 1966. Although not popular at first, Mr. Lancero became the favorite Vitola of Castro and was invented by Eduardo Rivera Irizarri Castro’s personal roller. This Vitola damn near created Cohiba as a factory and brand. Castro only smoked long panatela/Lancero cigars for the next 10-20 years.
