Privada Wraith Series

(3 customer reviews)

Privada Wraiths. Machiavellian. Villainous. Alchemy. These are the words that come to mind when I think about the Privada Wraith series. Never before has a cigar lover been privy to the information that crosses my path. At least, not a cigar curator who gets to share these secrets of cigars past with his cohorts. The blends we use in the Wraith series are famous cigar blends of our industry’s rich history. As we dig deeper into the world of cigar manufacturing, we continue to meet more legendary blenders who hold the keys and the records to what things are and were.

This Privada Wraith series is a cigar that spawned the boutique cigar movement. The Second Wave, if you will, of cigar makers. These were brands that dug a bit deeper than their predecessors into the blending process. They cared a bit more about flavor and uniqueness than those that came before them. Their passions ran deeper than that of their fathers. And this is the cigar that got everyone’s attention. To say that it topped lists of the early 2000s is an understatement. This cigar won awards. It was revered. And if the original manufacturer knew we recreated it they would have us and the factory where it was originally made in court faster than you can imagine. So the next time a cigar enthusiast from the early 2000s tells you they don’t make them like they did during their time, you can let them know about the Wraiths. Because we just did.

Wrapper: Habano Ecuador, Sun Grown Rosado
Binder: Nicaragua
Filler(s): Nicaragua

On the body, wood, and apricot. The foot is vanilla, tobacco, and faint roasted nuts. The cold draw is vanilla, apricot twang, sliced red apple, roasted nuts, jalapeño pepper. The first third I’m getting caramel, toasted cedar, earth, and red pepper. Sweet, salty, spicy with fruity aromatics. The smoke is powdery yet rich. The second is florals, apple, charred sugar, cedar, vanilla, and red pepper. Creamy, slightly sweet, and spicy smoke. The final third is caramel and dried fruits, baker’s spice, coffee, sugar, earth, and white pepper. Rich, creamy yet fruity smoke with an abundance of baker’s spice.

This Ghost packs a punch with haunting strength in flavors that will linger on in your dreams [and nightmares when its all gone!]. Peppery blast with cedar, caramel, and rich chocolate in the beginning and melting into the creamy floral mids. A treat to enjoy in the cool weather . Enjoyed this with the Brother Vick. ➖👣➖
