NOW AGED OVER 1 YEAR

Welcome to the Privada Wraith Series. Privada Wraiths are the stuff of legend. Cigar folklore. With this series we summon the spirits of legendary blends, of cigars long lost to the past, recreating each to offer them new life. These are cigars that rocked the industry and changed blending as we know it today. The most iconic of these blends have not been made this way – the original way – in a long time. The premium cigar industry is one of passion, skill, raw materials, and the ego to think that you possess the alchemy to bring them all together. If any of these 4 main ingredients change, so too does the resulting cigar. The Privada Wraith Series travels back to the original factories to source everything necessary to recreate these celebrated cigars. Every effort is made to ensure that each manifestation is as close as possible to what was originally released. Each year the cigar is different. Most years the tobaccos, factories and actual name of the cigar is omitted to avoid legal trouble and to not disrespect the original creators of the cigars. When you encounter a Wraith, you’ll know you are enjoying a part of cigar history that changed the game forever.

This is a Nicaraguan Habano wrapped 7×40 that is packed with intense flavor and medium plus strength.  Box of 5.

This year we focus on one of the first Lancero vitola cigars to come out of Nicaragua. Before Nicaragua was En Vogue, there were very few brands who’s products made it to the states. With that in mind we set out to rediscover small ring gauge Nicaraguan puros. This is the blend that very well may have started it all. The people who worked on this cigar worked on the original, knew the recipe and feel that this cigar is as close as you can get. The difference they tell me is the quality of the tobacco has gotten better. One region of tobacco was switched out for another and the ring gauge was moved from 38-40 in order to resemble the flavors as much as possible.

Can’t wait to get this in!

ordered 2 boxes, they are bigger and nicer looking then i thought they would be, for anyone interested the size of the box is 18.5inx8.5in.
disappointed both boxes came with damaged corners, which really subtracts from the visual appeal. the cigars are also wrapped in cellophane inside the tubes for some reason so they are not easy to get out at all, at least the 3 i tried i was unsuccessful. will update once i have a chance to write a cigar review for one.

Amazing! A must buy for Halloween!

An incredible smoke. Smooth and nuanced. My personal cigar of 2022.

Let me begin by saying I had high expectations for this cigar.

Especially after cutting it and the cold draw.

I will say the draw and construction was excellent and the cigar was smooth – but there just wasn’t much there. There were touches of cedar and there was a persistent and prominent leather, maybe a very slight creaminess and not a whole lot else no real transitions to speak of in a word just kind of bland. IT was just this all the way down and pretty boring. It wasn’t a bad cigar but it was really just nothing to write home about. I love subtlety and nuance but this isn’t how I would classify this cigar, subtlety mean to me means there is a lot going on but it’s just not easy to discern without care and thought. The wraith was easy to pick out just there wasn’t much from which to pick. It was non offensive and medium bodied so it would be good to give to someone who may be more of a novice but it really just didn’t have much going for it -almost as if it was missing part of the blend. A touch of pepper (and I’m not a big pepper guy) or perhaps some backing spices would have gone a long way to give this cigar balance against the notes that were already there. Anyways, they can’t all be winners. It’s probably a good one for the golf course where you don’t really care about it. The finish is very short. Whatever you pair this with I would have some sweetness in it to bring that to the cigar. The pairing really needs to do the heavy lifting to make this worth smoking usually I like the two to complement each other but this isn’t brining much so it will be the accent to the pairing and not the other way round.

I would get the Rojas bluebonnets Lonsdale on here instead- for roughly the same price it is heads and shoulders above this and in a generally similar format and profile.
