Description
Okay, here we go. Paul Newman. Tom Cruise. The Color of Money. One of my all-time favorite films. OG Privada members will remember about a year and a few months ago we had a short box-pressed Robusto with a pigtail foot (which is rare, to say the least.) It was called the Fast Eddie. It was the name of Paul Newman’s character in the movie. The Vince in this month’s selection is named after Tom Cruise’s character. The blends are extremely similar but have some unique characteristics, not unlike their big screen inspirations. Fast Eddie was classic. Traditional. Vince has a little more pizzazz and likes to put on a show. Break this cigar out in your local lounge and I guarantee you, heads will turn. “What is that?!” They’ll ask you. You’ll reply, “What is this? Oh, this is the Vince, from Black Bird Cigar Co. I got it in my February Privada box. Isn’t this Private club thing fun?” Back to the cigar. Jonas and the Horse (the name of the factory’s master blender) came up with this based on the movie and the original cigar we made. What a perfect shape and size..a box-pressed Corona Gorda. 6×48. Oh mama! San Andres wrapper. Dominican binder. Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers. YES! This cigar is an all-around great daily smoke. I find it to be very satisfying. You can twist the pigtail off or light it up with it still fully intact. Either way, it’s a showoff cigar.
