Let this stick sit in the humidor for 14 days. I am now going to list the stats from the Espinosa website.
This infused cigar is made with long-filler Dominican tobacco and infused with vanilla spices.
I would like some more info, but we will have to run with it. The stick is medium brown in color and I would guess it is probably a Habano wrapper. There is a nice double cap which is impressive for such a small stick. Going to use a perfect cutter on this one. Small stick gets the soft flame treatment.
Light up draw gives some slight vanilla and some generic sweetness. Bu we will see what develops. The draw is fairly open for a small stick and about ten minutes in I am getting a light vanilla with some flashes of honey and allspice. The flavors are enjoyable but I wish they had more body.
Half way done and we are about twenty minutes in. They flavors have not changed but they are extremely light. If I wasn’t told this was infused, I would think the flavors are just coming from the tobacco. But the draw is fine and the ash is holding on like a champ.
So, we are down to the end. This stick clocked in at about 47 minutes. After the half way point some back pepper snuck into the mix but it was muted as well. The flavors were good when they showed themselves. But if this is an infused stick it was made with a deft touch.
If this cigar had more body it would be a hit. I will have to give the other vitolas a shot. Nothing worse than good flavors that you just aren’t getting enough of.
