Privada Storytelling
Where the Standard Was Set
Liga Privada No. 9 is where it all began for Drew Estate’s legendary reputation among full-bodied cigar lovers. Born from a private blending project reserved for company executives, the No. 9 was never meant to be released to the public. But the blend was too good to keep secret.
With its thick Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, silky Brazilian binder, and powerhouse Nicaraguan and Honduran core, No. 9 delivers weight and refinement in equal measure. It is dark, oily, unapologetically bold, and deeply satisfying.
Each draw is layered with earthy richness, coffee bitterness, spice, and that signature barnyard sweetness that turns into cocoa and leather the deeper you go.
Flavor Journey
The first third opens with a bold hit of black pepper, espresso, and dark chocolate
The second third builds into leather, sweet earth, and dried fruit notes
The final third intensifies with charred oak, coffee grounds, and a clean but spicy finish
Smoke output is dense and fragrant. Burn line stays mostly straight. Ash holds with strength and the draw is consistently smooth across all vitolas.
Why It Belongs in Privada
Liga Privada No. 9 is more than a cigar. It is a turning point in modern cigar culture. It represents the arrival of boutique quality at scale and the demand for uncompromising flavor. It belongs in every serious collection and every Privada member deserves to smoke it at least once.
