Privada Storytelling
The Trilogy of Taste from Nicaragua’s Crowned Craftsman
Nick Perdomo doesn’t make cigars. He builds tributes. And this 6-cigar Epicure sampler is a trilogy written in flavor. Each wrapper represents a distinct character in the narrative of Nicaraguan terroir and craftsmanship. The Champagne Connecticut is the gentleman — refined, smooth, composed. The Sun Grown is the explorer — bold, spiced, and adventurous. The Maduro is the poet — rich, deep, and expressive. Together, they form a journey through Perdomo’s most celebrated line, each cigar box-pressed and aged to perfection. You don’t just smoke this sampler — you experience a legacy one act at a time.
Flavor Journey
Connecticut:
Starts creamy and light with notes of cedar and almond. Builds to vanilla sweetness and gentle white pepper with a silky finish.
Sun Grown:
Opens with roasted nuts and earth, then brings on cinnamon, red pepper, and charred oak in the middle. Finishes with warmth and structure.
Maduro:
Begins with bourbon-soaked cocoa and espresso. Middle section features molasses and toasted wood. Ends bold with black pepper and sweetness lingering on the palate.
Draw is smooth across all three. Burn is consistent with excellent construction, particularly in the Connecticut and Maduro. Smoke output is dense and aromatic.
Why It Belongs in Privada
This is not a sampler for beginners — it’s a showcase. A complete expression of what Nicaraguan aging, blending, and presentation can be when a master blender lets nothing rush. It belongs in Privada because it tells a complete story, honors the art of balance, and elevates the sampler experience from simple variety to curated progression.
