Tasting Notes: In the first third I immediately get a nutella chocolatey caramel that is wow off the bat! Creamy smoke, cedar and bakers spices quickly follow. The retro is cedar, bakers spices, black pepper and that chocolate nutella note. Further in I get hints of milk chocolate, slight salt and raisins. This is really off to a great start. In the second third I am digging deep into caramel and bakery items. There is something bready yet sweet and reminds me of doughnut dough. I get red pepper now on the retro and the smoke texture is just as creamy as can be. Still getting bakers spices, cedar and cream. Still absolutely loving this cigar. And just when I thought it could not get better I get a phantom flavor that reminds me of banana bread. Wow. In the final third I get notes of raisins, roasted hazelnut, oak, vanilla, charred barrel oak, black pepper and some of those banana bread essences that really put this thing over the top. Big shout out to Aganorsa on this one man…not sure cigars can get much better!
Pairing Notes: Nutella, caramel, roasted hazelnuts, hazelnut coffee, Frengelico or Disaronno, Belgium style beers. Toffee cookies. Sugar cookies. Raisnets, tiramisu.
