Story Line: Chapter 3 ~The Twins~

Los Angeles (Spring 1959)

The bitter cold of Chicago was eating at my bones, making the trip out West the perfect destination. Not only was the climate ideal, but the twins lived in the City of Angels – ironically, they were the exact opposite of angels. I met Vito and Arnie back in the mid 40’s on a trip to California with my old man. At the time they were running multiple city-wide scams and fit in perfectly with our crew; loyal, dangerous and slightly unhinged.

Vito was the brains of the two; eerily precise with money and bodybag counts. Arnie was the muscle and followed his brother’s lead on handing out the “correct” punishments. The twins burnt down their parent’s place accidentally when they were teenagers after one too many bottles of hooch. In a twist of fate, when their folks tried to discipline them the opposite effect happened; chalk up bodybag number one and number two.

The path I’m on needs a little bit of crazy and the twins have that in spades. After my meeting downtown with the twins I had a call from Turtle, “Robandro wants to meet”, I let out a quick snicker and told Turtle that I expected as much. It was time to load up and finish collecting my final chess piece; the true game was just about to start.
