The Room 101 12th Anniversary Toro is a commemorative stick that celebrates the brand’s twelve years of crafting memorable cigars. From its filler to its dark, savory Maduro wrapper, this Nicaraguan puro is not only flavorful but it is considered the most potent cigar in the brand’s anniversary series. The cigar’s blend was developed by cigar impresario AJ Fernandez from tobaccos grown on AJ’s farms. The Room 101 12th Anniversary is handmade at the Tabacalera Fernandez Factory in Esteli, Nicaragua. Only 1,001 boxes of 20 cigars per box were made.

The 1st third starts with a black pepper that lingers on the back of my throat. I’m picking up flavours of earth and leather. The finish has a biscuit taste that is very pleasant. The draw isn’t good, the cigar is packed and could do with having less filler.
The 2nd third introduces a very creamy flavour. I’m not picking up anything else. Just straight cream. I’m waiting for chocolate or coffee but at the moment it’s very one dimensional.
Towards the end of the 2nd third a creamy milk chocolate starts to develop, its in the background.
The final third has a black coffee that’s come in and is dominating. The finish is creamy.
A good smoke. I had to double puff to get the most out of the flavours. The burn was perfect.

Really good stick. Only issue I had was draw. Complexity, flavors, transitions are there.
