The renowned factory IGM, previously known for producing D’crossier over five years ago and currently producing El Septimo, has partnered with Privada Cigar Club to supply their premium cigars. This significant collaboration means that Privada Cigar Club members can enjoy high quality cigars, which usually retail for around $50 each, as part of their subscription boxes. These cigars are made from special tobaccos exclusive to Costa Rica—a country notorious for its expensive and complex cigar production process. Owing to Costa Rica’s unique climate and altitude, the cigars must undergo a minimum of three months of post-production aging. We chose to wait 1 year, making them remarkably rare. Each cigar is carefully crafted, incorporating the finest Ecuadorian Habano wrapper and binder, which envelop the special Especial tobaccos. As a result of this exclusive arrangement, Privada Cigar Club members are undoubtedly experiencing some of the best cigars available on the market.

Body: Sweet cereal grain, slight barn/funk.
Foot: Cereal grain, almond, slight barn/funk.
Cold Draw: Chocolate guava jelly, pungent cedar slight vinegar acidity.
Tasting Notes: This flavor-rich cigar offers notes of fermenting strawberry, guava jelly, bold oak, and black pepper. The experience is clean, creamy, luxuriously rich, and sensationally zingy. Crafted in Costa Rica, this high-quality cigar could easily command a premium.
The second third intensifies the fruity jam flavor and acidity. Oak, black pepper, and creamy smoke endure, with subtle dried Italian herbs and cedar joining the retro-hale. Intriguingly, the finish carries a hint of rice wine vinegar.
The final third presents a unique blend of fruit, pepper, oak, acidity, and newly added horseradish. Persistent notes of vanilla, fruit, pepper, and a creamy, zesty finish make this a cigar enthusiast’s delight.
Pairing Notes: Almond biscotti, guava pastries, strawberries with balsamic vinegar reduction, creamy cheeses like Camembert, dark chocolate with sea salt, Costa Rican coffee, sushi with horseradish wasabi, artisan bread with olive oil and vinegar dip.
