Tasting Notes:
On the body, I detect oats, sweet tobacco, and rich half-and-half cream. The foot reveals notes of red wine vinegar and dried peach, adding a tangy, fruity aroma. The cold draw offers flavors of Cheerios, apricot tea, dried fruits, and sweet grass, setting the stage for a complex and nuanced experience.
First Third:
The initial puffs deliver honey nut Cheerios, amaretto, green tea, and a touch of white pepper. Roasted nuts, sweet creamy smoke, and a buttery texture round out the profile. Surprisingly, the usual bitterness associated with Connecticut shade cigars is completely absent—a testament to its refined construction. Truly impressive from the start.
Second Third:
Hints of florals emerge, paired with sweet croissant, creamy smoke, and a buttery mouthfeel. The oats and grain notes continue to shine, complemented by a subtle citrusy sparkle reminiscent of Sprite. The balance and complexity are remarkable.
Final Third:
The final third evolves into warmer, rounder flavors. Almond reappears alongside buttered toast, with notes of lemongrass citrus and floral undertones. The experience concludes with flavors reminiscent of chai tea, leaving a lasting impression of elegance and sophistication. If I didn’t know better, I’d think I was smoking a Cuban cigar in this final act.
