Privada Storytelling
This is the opening chapter.
Raul Lanuza learned tobacco the hard way, in the dirt and at the roller’s bench. He cut his teeth at Drew Estate, refined his craft at AJ Fernandez, and then walked away to build something personal. A workshop at home. Family employed. Every leaf touched by hand. Every decision made by someone who sleeps where the tobacco grows.
Lanuza Habano reflects that relationship. This is Estelí lived in, not visited. The soil shows through in volcanic mineral, bright pepper, and a measured sweetness that reads like a man who knows every acre by name. It is not flashy. It is confident. It is the sound of someone beginning a story they intend to finish themselves.
Flavor Journey
The cigar opens with warm cedar, wet volcanic earth, and delicate floral perfume. The first third introduces golden honey and fresh hay, opening into toasted almond and gentle baker’s bread sweetness with a white pepper lift. The second third brings espresso roast and dried apricot layered over leather and mineral earth, with cedar holding everything steady. The final third closes with bittersweet chocolate, toasted sesame, lingering black pepper, and a subtle saline mineral echo.
Why It Belongs in Privada
Because Privada values cigars made by people who bet on themselves. Lanuza Habano isn’t a factory product, it’s a personal declaration. It represents independence, craftsmanship, and a deep understanding of land and leaf. This cigar belongs in Privada because it tells the beginning of a story worth following.
Production Notes
