Privada Storytelling
Some journeys are measured in miles.
Others are measured in imagination.
Throughout history, the greatest discoveries have belonged to those willing to venture beyond what was known. From explorers sailing into uncharted waters to astronauts setting foot on the moon, the desire to discover something new has always pushed humanity forward.
Moon Traveler was created with that same spirit.
For this project, Privada turned to master blender Raul Lanuza of Lanuza Cigar Factory, a craftsman tasked with creating a cigar that could capture the excitement of exploration.
The result is a bold, full-bodied Nicaraguan blend dressed in a rich Mexican San Andrés wrapper.
Its distinctive 7¼ x 56 Figurado shape makes an impression before the cigar is even lit.
But Moon Traveler is about more than appearance.
It represents the curiosity, ambition, and willingness to explore that have inspired generations.
A cigar created for those who believe there is always something new waiting beyond the horizon.
Flavor Journey
Moon Traveler brings together the richness of Mexican San Andrés tobacco with the character of Nicaraguan tobaccos from Jalapa and Estelí.
The Mexican San Andrés wrapper provides the foundation for a bold smoking experience, while the Estelí binder and combination of Jalapa and Estelí fillers create a blend designed around depth and intensity.
The Figurado shape introduces another element to the experience, with its tapered construction allowing the character of the blend to evolve as the cigar progresses.
Full-bodied from its foundation, Moon Traveler is built for smokers who appreciate a rich, substantial cigar.
Six months of aging allow the tobaccos additional time to settle together before release.
Why It Belongs in Privada
Privada has always been about discovery.
Finding cigars that offer something different. Working with talented manufacturers. Giving members an opportunity to experience blends they might never encounter otherwise.
Moon Traveler represents that philosophy.
It combines tobacco from two distinct growing regions of Nicaragua with a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, bringing together different origins in one carefully constructed cigar.
The unusual Figurado format adds another layer of character to the experience.
And behind it all is the work of Raul Lanuza.
Released in celebration of the Fourth of July, Moon Traveler connects the spirit of independence with the excitement of exploration.
Because discovery does not end when we reach a destination.
It begins when we decide to go further.
Production Notes
Produced at Lanuza Cigar Factory under the direction of master blender Raul Lanuza.

Its distinctive shape, combination of tobacco origins, and exploration-inspired identity make Moon Traveler a unique addition to the Privada collection.
