Wrapper: Habano Jalapa Vintage 2010
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan
The first Nicaraguan puro from Montecristo and probably the best cigar by Montecristo in my opinion. The wrapper and binder are Cuban-seed Habano leaves from Jalapa while the filler consists of Nicaraguan tobaccos from Jalapa, Ometepe, and Condega. The name comes from the Espada Ropera, an ornate sword worn by civilians. The vintage tobaccos in the blend make for a creamy yet spicy experience. Medium-bodied, creamy and rich smoke with notes of woods, pepper, coffee, nuts, and tons of sweet cream. Complex. Elegant. Refined.
Montecristo Espada Quillon is #20 on Cigar Aficionado’s Top 25 Cigars of 2015.

This is one fine smoke. One of my favorites now. Perfect after a long day.

Absolute banger. If you enjoy the Plasencia flavors, this delivers in spades. The tasting notes in description are spot on. I bought a box on an impulse and a will buy another.
