Montecristo Volume II: The Rendezvous opens yet another chapter in the ongoing cigar story written piece by piece by the Grupo de Maestros and Altadis USA. The second installment in an exclusive series of blends drawing inspiration from the unforgettable Count of Monte Cristo novel by Alexandre Dumas. A reference to the chapter in Volume II of the novel where the Count of Monte Cristo is introduced to the luxury of Parisian society, this cigar seems to be aptly named and intended to be enjoyed as the luxurious gem it truly is.
Volume II: The Rendezvous hails from Honduras, constructed at the world-famous Flor de Copan factory by some of the most skilled rollers in the world. The recipe for this project includes filler tobacco from Honduras, a broadleaf binder, and a deep golden brown Habano 2000 wrapper leaf from Ecuador. The company describes it as “complex and well-balanced medium-bodied cigar with notes of earth, leather, cinnamon and oak.”
