Montenegro Cigars, an organic tobacco farm and a cherished provider for the Privada Cigar Club, is the creation of two wealthy individuals from Southern California and Cuba’s most acclaimed farmer, Luis Prieto. They scoured multiple locations before choosing their 11th farm, selected after Mr. Prieto tasted the soil and found it perfect for their venture. This team then daringly transported seeds from Cuba to Nicaragua, initiating the growth process. Their Habano box press is an exclusive Nicaraguan puro, with the majority of the cigar sourced from their chosen farm. The result of this meticulous process and careful sourcing is what many consider some of the finest cigars globally.

Tasting Notes: Prepare for a bold start with a red pepper burst, accented by apricot, cedar, lemon, and black pepper. This spectrum of flavors is robust yet harmonious. The smoke, as creamy as yogurt, pairs with a warm-spiced retrohale, rich with red pepper but not overpowering.
The journey continues with the familiar cedar, red pepper, and apricot but surprises with a nutty layer. The smoke, maintaining its creaminess, invokes oak undertones. Its burn is sharp and precise, like a well-crafted masterpiece.
The end brings back red pepper and cedar, with lemon nuances returning. Toasted nuts and charred woods blend into the flavor profile. The retrohale, now salty with a cinnamon hint, and a unique twang reminiscent of sushi rice, complete this captivating journey.
