Description
Wrapper: Habano 1992 Ecuador
Binder: Jalapa Region Corojo 2012
Fillers: Jalapa Corojo 99 and Corojo 2012 with Criollo 98 from Esteli
Body: Sweet cedar and rawhide, hinting at the robust journey ahead.
Foot: Whispers tales of roasted nuts and hay.
Cold Draw: Offers a prelude of Saltine cracker and milk chocolate.
Tasting Notes: An ensemble of cedar and cream, laced with nuances of hay, black, pepper, and red pepper, unfolds, punctuated by a distinctive Tabasco flavor. Vanilla barrel and dried basil emerge, leading to a crescendo of fresh cut cedar and a cinnamon finish.
The narrative deepens, revealing layers of salty umami and cedar, intertwined with the zest of red pepper and toasted wheat crust. A creamy smoke veils subtle notes of ginger snap and vanilla, crafting an intricate tapestry of flavors.
The journey culminates in a melody of sweet dried pear and peach, with oak and a hint of cedar on the finish. A tangy, fruity sweetness prevails, softened by less pepper and enriched by notes of citrus, evoking golden raisins, cinnamon, and woods – a symphony of flavors in harmonious balance.
Pairing Notes: To maximize the flavor of the HVC PCC Habano we must focus on bakes spice to compliment and something sweet to contrast. George Dickel Tennessee Whiskey with it’s unique flavors may do both. As for coffee I believe an Ethiopian light roast may work best like Harun Coffee out of Los Angeles. Golden Raisins, Reeses Peanut Butter Cups and Rollo candies will really compliment this cigar. A great old fashioned apple pie with cinnamon would really take this over the top.
