Corona- 6×44
The Number 6 is a medium-bodied cigar made in the El Paraiso factory. Every time they begin the process of crafting a new cigar, they group the cured tobacco into smaller sample groups in an attempt to isolate and partition the finest sample possible. Each group is given a number, and in this case, they were so captivated by its flavor that the name stuck. Thus, with a little help from serendipity, the Number 6 was born.
The cigar showcases a Honduran-grown Corojo wrapper with a core blend of Honduran and Nicaraguan fillers.
Rocky Patel Number 6 Corona was ranked #9 on Cigar Aficionado’s Top 25 Cigars of 2020.

The 1st third starts out with a black pepper that’s more prominent on the retro hale. The draw flavours are earth and cedar. I get an oily brazil nut flavour that’s accompanied by a strong wheat character.
10 minutes in and I’m getting a bourbon taste on the draw. The finish reminds me of a Thai spice, similar to a Thai curry.
The start is an absolute flavour bomb!
The 2nd third transitions into a sweetened coffee. The finish is buttery and creamy.
The final third continues with a sweet coffee, the cedar has amped up and a caramel note has come to the forefront.
