Description
Ladies and gentlemen. It is with my great honor that I bring this next cigar back to you. For today, I am a loyal hunting retriever that has brought back game to be so proud of, I am not sure what else I can do in the future to top this monumental trophy. This is a mic drop moment for me and I hope you truly understand and appreciate what you have in your hands. Every year Cigar Aficionado makes their top 25 list. The list is absolutely meaningless and I’ll tell you why. First reason is most of the companies on the list paid to get there by spending at least $150,000 on advertising that year. Second, the cigars that win the top 3 spots are almost never the same again. Meaning the cigars sales pick up so dramatically that they have to try and recreate the cigar using different tobaccos because the demand is so high. You’ve had this experience before. You go out and get that #1 cigar about 2 months after it wins and it just doesn’t smoke well or it isn’t the same as when you had it a year prior. In 2018 Ernesto Perez-Carillo, the man behind the cigar factories of Calle Ocho, the man behind the original La Gloria Cubana, took the #1 spot with a cigar called Encore. I had it then, and I had it later on, all were pretty damn great to be honest. But here is where YOU and the POWER of Privada come into the story. As you all go out and represent Privada both on social media and in the real world, our purchase power grows. Our energy grows. Our influence grows. And so with that, it brings new opportunities to work with companies that didn’t even know who we were 2 years ago. And when they approach us I calmly make it clear that Privada is only out for the BEST cigars available and nothing else. When the crew at EPC got that message from us, they delivered. I will be forever grateful. I give you the original batch of EPC Encore made in 2017. This is the lot that the winning cigars would have come from. They are of course aged 3 plus years now, but these are the actual #1 cigars. In fact they were not even box-pressed. They’ve been sitting in the finest aging rooms known to man. Look up EPC cedar aging rooms and you will see what I am talking about. Cigars typically age before being box-pressed. You will notice the box press on some of these are pretty soft. We gave them 2 weeks to box press. All I can say is WOW and thank you Ernesto Perez-Carillo for allowing us the opportunity to truly smoke cigar history.

Cedar, slight pepper, earth, nuts and some sweetness. Good creamy smoke output with a perfect draw.
