The Bert Aged 5+ Years Size: 6.5×48Vitola: Toro ExtraWrapper: Nicaraguan Habano (AJ Fernández Estate Grown)Binder: Nicaraguan (AJ Fernández Estate Grown)Fillers: Nicaraguan (AJ Fernández Estate Grown)Flavor Notes: Cedar, roasted coffee, black pepper, leather, dried fruit, cocoa, earthy spicePairing Notes: Espresso, dark rum, malty stout, or a rye whiskey Old FashionedManufacturer: AJ Fernández (Estelí, Nicaragua) Privada Storytelling The Bert Aged 5+ Years holds a unique place in the Privada Color Series — also known as No Puppets Allowed. Believe it or not, this was the very first Nicaraguan puro to join the lineup, crafted entirely from tobaccos grown on AJ Fernández’s own farms in Estelí. This cigar carries a story of defiance. A cease-and-desist from a certain puppet company nearly derailed its original branding, but rather than back down, Privada embraced the challenge. The result is a cigar that stands tall as a statement of independence, creativity, and authenticity in an industry too often dominated by complacent giants. Factory-aged for more than four and a half years and now resting over five, The Bert delivers sharp, distinct flavors softened by time. Originally retailing at $16, it returns through Privada as an aged treasure for those who appreciate both heritage and rebellion. Flavor Journey The opening delivers cedar, roasted coffee, and black pepper with a steady draw of rich smoke. Midway, leather and dried fruit emerge, adding depth and intrigue. The final third closes with cocoa, earthy spice, and a return of peppery strength, showcasing the true character of a well-aged Nicaraguan puro. Why It Belongs in Privada Privada has never been about playing by industry rules. The Bert Aged 5+ Years is proof of that. It brings together AJ Fernández’s unmatched farming and blending expertise with Privada’s commitment to delivering aged, rare, and meaningful cigars that tell a story. This cigar belongs because it challenges convention while delivering an undeniably premium experience.

(Nicaragua) Privada Storytelling Some cigars feel like cigars. Others feel like experiences. The Cannoli by Amendola is firmly the latter. When two Italian ex-New Yorkers—men who sound like they walked straight out of Little Italy—approached me with their own cigar project, I was skeptical. Everyone wants to be in the cigar game. But then I heard the stories, saw their hands rolling their own sticks, and finally tasted their Cannoli, and all doubts disappeared. This cigar is a dessert in the form of smoke. Sweet and savory, creamy yet spiced, it mirrors the culinary indulgence it’s named for. Like biting into a decadent pastry, it layers chocolate, coffee, fruit, and spice in waves of complexity. Aged 4 years, it’s softened, deepened, and matured into something remarkable—a true after-dinner centerpiece. The Cannoli isn’t just a cigar; it’s a slice of heritage, a taste of New York Italian culture translated into tobacco. It’s wet, gooey, rich, and unapologetically indulgent—just as it should be. Flavor Journey First Third: Opens with bitter dark chocolate, charred wood, espresso, leather, cinnamon, and a peppermint-like spice, accented by tamarind and anise. The retrohale brings red pepper and espresso richness. Second Third: Shifts toward sweeter chocolate, charred woods, and root notes, with cola, leather, and chocolate-covered peppermint bark emerging. Red pepper remains, balanced by smoother cream. Final Third: Closes with Sambuca-like anise, chocolate, cream, roots, and black pepper, joined by lighter roast coffee, vanilla sweetness, and a woody finish. A perfect dessert crescendo. Why It Belongs in Privada Privada exists to showcase cigars that tell stories and capture cultural identity, and The Cannoli does exactly that. It’s a cigar that bridges worlds—Italian pastry indulgence and Nicaraguan tobacco artistry. This cigar reminds us that a smoke can be both luxury and comfort, an indulgence meant to cap a perfect night. It is a dessert Maduro, a smoke that doubles as a memory.

The Day Off (Robusto) Aged 7+ Years, Made at La Zona (Espinosa)

The Day Off (Robusto) Aged 7+ Years, Made at La Zona (Espinosa) Size: 5×52Vitola: RobustoWrapper: Ecuadorian Rosado, Sungrown HabanoBinder: NicaraguanFillers: Nicaraguan and DominicanFlavor Notes: Sweet caramel, leather, figs, vanilla bean, cream, hazelnut, chocolate syrup, chestnuts, toasted walnuts, roasted coffee bean, almond, charred cedar, black pepper.Pairing Notes: Hazelnut coffee, mocha cappuccino, amber lagers, bourbon on the rocks, coconut cream pie, chocolate ice cream, caramel chews, almond joy, vanilla cookies, pancakes with sausage or bacon.Manufacturer: La Zona Factory (Espinosa Cigars) Privada Storytelling Some cigars are accidents of fate—treasures hidden in the aging rooms until the right moment. The Day Off is one of those. Six years ago, a wealthy entrepreneur launched a boutique brand at Erik Espinosa’s La Zona factory, sparing no expense on the finest Rosado wrappers and select fillers. Despite the quality, the brand dissolved, and its cigars were thought lost forever. Years later, Erik revealed he still had thousands resting in his aging rooms. Seven years of age later, those cigars came to Privada. This is the cigar for exactly what its name implies: a day off. A cigar you don’t rush through, one that asks you to stop, breathe, and taste the years of patience and serendipity that brought it into your hands. Flavor Journey First Third: Rich coffee and caramel open the show, layered with vanilla bean, cream, chocolate syrup, and a dash of black pepper. The retrohale bursts with toasted macadamia nuts. Second Third: The smoke turns creamier with phantom coconut cream, swirls of chocolate and vanilla, wheat crackers, chestnuts, and toasted walnuts. Smooth yet dynamic. Final Third: The cigar crescendos with bolder notes of almond, charred cedar, roasted coffee bean, and a sweet return of chocolate, caramel, and hazelnut. Why It Belongs in Privada The Day Off exemplifies Privada’s mission: finding what others overlook and bringing it to life. Without persistence, these cigars would still be sitting in Erik Espinosa’s rooms, forgotten. Instead, they are here—aged, refined, and brimming with flavor. This is the definition of Privada: discovering treasures and sharing them with those who know how to appreciate the rarest moments in cigars.

The Diaz Brothers – Cigarface Series Size: Mixed formats (Toro Box Pressed & Toro Parejo)Vitola: Toro, Box Pressed ToroWrapper: Dominican Davidoff-style (Tabadom), Nicaraguan Maduro (Tabacalera Fernández)Binder: Dominican (Tabadom) & Nicaraguan (Tabacalera Fernández)Fillers: Dominican Republic & NicaraguaFlavor Notes: Creamy cedar, toasted bread, floral spice, cocoa, espresso, leather, dark fruit, earthy sweetnessPairing Notes: Aged Dominican rum, single malt Scotch, café con leche, or rich dark chocolateManufacturer: Tabadom (Dominican Republic), Tabacalera Fernández (Nicaragua) Privada Storytelling Part of the legendary Cigarface Series, The Diaz Brothers pack dives deep into boutique history and cinematic inspiration. Drawing from the cult classic Scarface, this release pays homage to Tony Montana’s rivals — the Diaz Brothers — whose failed Babylon nightclub hit lives on in underworld lore. Just as the film blended excess with grit, this pack juxtaposes two worlds of tobacco: the refined Dominican tradition of Tabadom and the bold, dark power of Tabacalera Fernández. Each side of this duo has been aged for four years, offering a rare opportunity to taste two now-historic styles. Four Dominican cigars crafted in the elusive Davidoff school of blending deliver refinement, balance, and elegance. Four Nicaraguan maduro box presses, crafted at the now-lost Tabacalera Fernández, thunder with richness and power. Together, they embody the duality of the Diaz Brothers: refined on the surface, ruthless underneath. Flavor Journey Dominican (Tabadom): Opens with creamy cedar and toasted bread, develops into floral spice, nutty sweetness, and a velvety finish. Nicaraguan Maduro (Tabacalera Fernández): Starts bold with cocoa and espresso, deepens into leather, dark fruit, and earthy sweetness, closing with a commanding and robust finale. Smoked side by side, the two profiles reveal the contrasting yet complementary philosophies of Dominican restraint and Nicaraguan intensity. Why It Belongs in Privada Privada is about more than cigars — it’s about stories, culture, and discovery. The Diaz Brothers pack doesn’t just give you rare aged cigars; it gives you a piece of history and a cinematic tribute rolled in tobacco. With collectible stickers included, this set bridges luxury, nostalgia, and rebellion in true Privada fashion.

Unknown Dominican Relic Size: 9.5 x 43Vitola: Lonsdale Extra / ProminenteWrapper: UndisclosedBinder: UndisclosedFillers: UndisclosedStrength: UndisclosedOrigin: Dominican Republic (unconfirmed)Manufacturer: Unknown Flavor Notes: UndisclosedPairing Notes: Apricot, oak, white pepper and medicinal notes Privada Storytelling Some cigars arrive with a spec sheet. Others arrive with whispers. This one came with whispers that grew teeth. For years the rumor circled — a long, slender cigar rolled in the Dominican under strange circumstances, made for a political figure who didn’t live to collect them. What became of those cigars after the story goes dark. Nobody could say for sure. About six years ago one turned up in the kind of quiet way these things do: passed between friends in a room where people listen as much as they talk. We smoked it slow, in near silence. The smoke didn’t answer every question, but it asked new ones. It tasted like memory and the room leaned in. That was enough to make a man follow a trail. I followed it through a broker, through a few phones, and finally to a house in Orlando where an old man lived among stacks of boxes and mementos — the kind of collector who keeps other people’s stories on his shelves. Years before, someone had asked him to look after a bundle of cigars for safekeeping. That friend never came back. The old man had kept them anyway. We opened what he’d kept. Inside were long, unbanded cigars — 9.5 by 43 — no boxes other than some oak looking long boxes and a chest with about 250 more, no bands, no paperwork. Just leaf and time. If the story around them is true they could be twenty-five years old. If the story is false they could be twenty-five years old anyway. The math matters less than the quiet they carried. They’d been waiting in the dark for someone curious enough to light one. I remember the first match. The room narrowed to the ash and the draw and the small surprise you get when tobacco remembers itself. There was leather and dry orange rind, a peculiar old-world cedar, a sweetness like stale pipe tobacco that somehow felt holy. You could taste a lifetime: the hands that rolled them, the workshop that rolled them, the people who hid them and the people who forgot to come back. I smoked one and shared notes. We kept some. We left others to nap again. There’s a kind of reverence that comes with these sticks — not because of provenance written in an invoice, but because a cigar like this carries a life in its veins. That’s the thing: a good cigar can be a timepiece, but a find like this is a key. It opens the past, and every puff from one of those long, unmarked sticks felt like turning in a lock. Is the story ture? I don't know but why an old man in downtown Orlando had 300 or so of the most unique sized cigars that look like the cigars from the pictures of the dictator is beyond explanation. Something felt right so I bought them. And if I get left to smoke each one myself, I'll be happy to do so.  Flavor Journey While I mostly got oak, moss, medicinal notes, white pepper and honey, the thre I have smoked so far all had a different journey.  Why It Belongs in Privada Privada exists for cigars that carry mystery and history, not just marketing. This cigar is not being sold as a brand. It is being offered as a relic. A possible artifact of Dominican cigar history with an origin story that may never be fully confirmed. Some smokers collect labels.Others collect stories. Production Notes Unbanded cigars discovered in private storage.Blend, factory, and blender remain unconfirmed.Possible age estimated around twenty five years if the historical account proves accurate.

Others are made for legends. The GOAT was created with one man in mind: the greatest basketball player to ever step on the hardwood. Measuring an astonishing 9×45, it’s not only a cigar—it’s a statement piece, a symbol of ambition and mastery. Rolled entirely by hand in Costa Rica, only 5,000 cigars were ever produced, ensuring that each one remains a rarefied treasure. The tobaccos, drawn from three different countries, remain undisclosed. What matters most here is the experience—the privilege of holding in your hand the same cigar designed for the man himself. When you light The GOAT, you’re not just smoking—you’re stepping into greatness. It’s a victory lap, a celebration, and a reminder that legends are built with patience, skill, and relentless dedication. Final Third: Bold, elegant, and resonant. Dark cocoa, espresso, and oak dominate with flashes of spice and subtle sweetness. The finish is long, echoing the endurance and dominance of its namesake. With only 5,000 in existence, The GOAT exemplifies Privada’s mission: to bring members cigars that no one else can. The Good Life by Brian Desind (J.C. Newman) Aged 2+ Years Size: 6×54Vitola: Toro GordoWrapper: Connecticut BroadleafBinder: NicaraguanFillers: NicaraguanFlavor Notes: Chocolate cake, babka bread, nutmeg, fresh-baked bread, cedar, red wine, sugar, dried florals, sandalwood, roasted nuts, herbs, chili spice, menthol finishPairing Notes: Chocolate cake, champagne, amber lager, cognac, chocolate-covered almonds, egg cream soda, steak dinners, ice cream sundaes, celebratory occasionsManufacturer: J.C. Newman Cigar Co. Privada Storytelling Cue the soundtrack: “I’m talking bout the good life…” This is that moment when luxury and legacy align, and a cigar becomes more than tobacco—it becomes a lifestyle. A few months back, I got a call from J.C. Newman in Tampa, Florida, one of the most historic and respected names in cigars. They wanted to talk about community, about culture, about what makes Privada so powerful. Naturally, I turned the conversation back to you, our members, because without you there is no Privada. The collaboration turned into more than just a meeting. It became a cigar—a statement piece in Broadleaf—that I personally designed the band for and oversaw during blending. The Good Life was born from the oldest family-owned cigar company in America, a company fighting tirelessly for this industry against FDA overreach. It represents celebration, decadence, and heritage. This isn’t just a cigar; it’s a chocolate cake in smoke form, a reminder that indulgence has its place in life, and that place is here and now. Flavor Journey First Third: Bursts of baker’s spice—nutmeg, fresh-baked bread, pine, and the unmistakable richness of chocolate babka. Notes of red wine, sugar sweetness, florals, and a peppery undertone create a decadent opening. Second Third: The sweetness dials back, replaced with Italian herb seasoning, cedar, and grainy tones reminiscent of sugar smacks cereal. Breadiness remains strong while sandalwood and smoke add depth. Final Third: Chili seasoning spice enters, with more florals and cedar lifting the palate. The profile becomes a gourmet chocolate cake seasoned with herbs, roasted nuts, and unique spices. A menthol-like coolness emerges on the finish, leaving an unforgettable impression. Why It Belongs in Privada Because celebration is part of cigar culture, and no other cigar captures celebration quite like this one. The Good Life stands as proof that Privada can collaborate with giants like J.C. Newman while still pushing creativity and flavor forward. This isn’t a corporate blend—it’s a love letter to indulgence, heritage, and community. It belongs in Privada because it’s not just a cigar; it’s an experience reserved for those who know how to savor life.

The Good Life Torpedo Aged 1.5+ Years Size: 5 1/2×52Vitola: TorpedoWrapper: Connecticut BroadleafBinder: NicaraguanFillers: NicaraguanFlavor Notes: Chocolate, peanuts, cream, root beer, golden honey, Smarties candy, raspberry, raisin bread, passionfruit, tart fruit, floralsPairing Notes: Chocolate cake, champagne, amber lager, cognac, chocolate-covered almonds, steak dinner, egg cream soda, ice cream sundaeManufacturer: J.C. Newman Cigar Co. (Nicaraguan Factory) Privada Storytelling I’m talking ’bout The Good Life. And yet, when this cigar first debuted, some people couldn’t believe it—me putting my own name on a cigar. At first, I wanted it to be released under J.C. Newman, but they politely declined, saying it wouldn’t be the right look. So I did what we always do at Privada: I created something bold, personal, and unapologetic. The band, inspired by the legendary Beverly Hills Hotel, was my amateur Photoshop project, but it symbolized everything this cigar stood for: indulgence, glamour, and the pursuit of life’s finer things. Some members got upset, wanting only other brands, not “ours.” But the truth remains—Privada is not a brand. Privada is the curator, the storyteller, the finder of the rarest leaves and the boldest blends. And this cigar? It’s a showcase of Connecticut Broadleaf tobacco that has been cultivated for over a century—a leaf with history, depth, and soul. Made at the Newmans’ Nicaraguan factory, this rendition of The Good Life may be the best yet. Aged for over a year and a half, it brings out everything Broadleaf was meant to be: funky, flavorful, and unforgettable. Flavor Journey First Third: Bursts of chocolate, peanuts, cream, red pepper, and sarsaparilla. A salty, peppery texture lays the groundwork, joined by baked bread, sesame, and a subtle red berry tang. Second Third: Golden honey and milky chocolate take center stage, layered with white pepper, sweet syrup, Raisinets, and cedar. A nostalgic note of Smarties candy creeps in, playful and unexpected. Final Third: The finale is floral and complex, with raspberry, raisin bread, passionfruit, tart fruit, horseradish, and chocolate weaving together. A bold raisin retrohale underscores this cigar’s complexity. Why It Belongs in Privada This cigar is a statement of identity. It represents what Privada is all about: finding the best tobaccos, collaborating with masters, and refusing to be boxed in by convention. It’s a Broadleaf experience unlike any other—steeped in history, aged to perfection, and curated exclusively for our members.
