Privada Storytelling
The year was 2013. The Eiroa family—legendary stewards of authentic Cuban-seed Corojo outside of Cuba—were finally free to return to the cigar industry after the sale of Camacho to Davidoff in 2008. With the non-compete behind them, Christian Eiroa and family opened the Alladino factory, and among the very first blends they rolled was this cigar. But fate intervened. Legal complications sidelined the project, leaving thousands of boxes to rest quietly in Honduras, sealed in cedar-lined rooms.
Now, more than a decade later, you hold one of the rarest time capsules in your hand: the CLE / Eiroa 2013. This is more than a cigar; it is a relic of rebirth, a tangible piece of history that survived long enough to reveal what true patience can do to tobacco. Twelve years of controlled aging has transformed its Corojo leaves into something elegant, ethereal, and nearly impossible to replicate today. For Privada members, it’s another example of how the vaults of the industry are unlocked, one treasure at a time.
Flavor Journey
First Third: Buttery umami notes open alongside cedar, dried pear, orange blossom honey, and black pepper. Aged wood and earth introduce themselves with a Davidoff-like refinement.
Second Third: Vanilla, cinnamon, and florals emerge, joined by a menthol-like cooling sensation. The retrohale is floral and spicy, with fleeting touches of clove and honey sweetness.
Final Third: Complexity deepens with warm apple pie, spice wood, and smoky peat reminiscent of Islay scotch. A marine-like freshness lingers on the finish, blending with cinnamon, vanilla, and cedar for an unforgettable close.
Why It Belongs in Privada
This cigar isn’t just aged—it’s preserved history. The original 2013 CLE / Eiroa blend was meant to relaunch the family legacy but instead became a silent witness to time itself. With over a decade of rest, it now offers Privada members an experience that simply doesn’t exist on the open market. It’s living proof of the original Cuban-seed Corojo’s power, aged far beyond industry norms, and released exclusively for those who demand the rarest finds.
