Privada Storytelling
The Jamastran 11/18 is a tribute to the historic Jamastrán Valley in Honduras — the land that has grown some of the finest Corojo tobacco for decades. Christian Eiroa has resurrected that legacy by crafting this cigar as a limited-edition piece exclusively for the TAA, honoring his family’s heritage while pushing flavor and form. The unique 11/18 vitola (6¼ inches in length, tapering from ~60 ring gauge to ~52) harks back to the Eiroa family’s earlier era and the Camacho “Diploma” shapes, giving both visual distinction and a smoking profile that evolves as you progress.
Flavor Journey
From first light the Jamastran 11/18 opens with warm roasted nuts and dried cherries, grounded by sweet earth and cedar. In the first third the nutty and fruity notes dominate, punctuated by clean black pepper on the finish and retrohale. Mid-smoke the cigar introduces a creamy texture and faint citrus/mint highlight that lifts the profile. In the final third, strength and flavor hold steady, moving into more distinct cedar, leather undertones, and a long finish of sweet earth and pepper-tinged spice. The overall body and strength land in the medium-full realm, with a cool, satisfying draw and excellent construction.
Why It Belongs in Privada
Privada curates cigars that combine story, rarity, and taste — and the Jamastran 11/18 delivers on all three. As a TAA exclusive, in a non-standard vitola, from a legendary family and region, it’s exactly the kind of cigar that belongs in a collector’s humidor. It’s bold yet balanced, historic yet current, making it a standout for premium cigar aficionados.
