Privada Storytelling
The story begins with a cigar found inside a humidor at La Réserve Genève, a private members club known for discretion, luxury, and cigars made for guests who expected something unavailable anywhere else.
That original cigar was eventually traced to AJ Fernandez. A limited production was made for the club and remained largely unknown outside its private rooms. When the blend disappeared, most assumed it was gone permanently.
Five years ago, Privada quietly acquired a small production inspired by that forgotten release. The cigars were placed into controlled aging and left undisturbed.
Five full years later, they are finally ready.
La Genève is polished, restrained, and patient. It carries the cream and clarity of Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade, but underneath is unmistakable Estelí structure. This is not a mild cigar trying to be pleasant. It is a carefully aged cigar built to reveal itself slowly.
Flavor Journey
The pre-light offers honey, fresh hay, toasted almond, cream, lemon oil, and faint mineral sweetness.
The first third begins with honey, toasted almond, fresh hay, and cream touched by gentle white pepper. The second third develops pressed nuts, citrus peel, and warming spice as the Estelí tobacco adds structure. The final third brings caramelized almond, cedar, mineral richness, and a long floral creaminess.
Why It Belongs in Privada
Because five years of post-roll aging changes more than strength. It brings cohesion, polish, and a level of integration that cannot be rushed.
La Genève represents access to a cigar inspired by a private European smoking culture and preserved through years of intentional aging.
Production Notes
Rolled at Tabacalera AJ Fernandez using an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper over Estelí binder and filler tobaccos. Aged for five years after rolling before release.
