A cigar built for rich textures, layered flavor, and regal presentation. It’s what happens when the Garcia family wraps their signature Nicaraguan core in a luxurious San Andrés Oscuro wrapper—and does so with absolute confidence. In Privada, we treasure cigars that feel ceremonial without feeling forced. La Opulencia is velvet on the outside, volcanic on the inside. It's the smoke you reach for when the night calls for something decadent. Flavor Journey First light delivers bold black pepper, espresso, and earth. Quickly, the profile swells with cocoa powder, leather, and a hint of molasses. By the second third, dried black cherry and floral spice weave through the smoke, creating a complex sweet-savory interplay. Nougat and toasted walnut follow in the mid-palate, all wrapped in smooth, box-pressed creaminess. The final third brings balance: deep chocolate, soft spice, and charred cedar fading into a long, structured finish. Every puff is weighted, deliberate, and luxurious. Why It Belongs in Privada Because La Opulencia embodies the idea of a luxury cigar without losing its edge. It’s bold but never brutish. Refined, yet distinctly Garcia. In Privada, we honor cigars that combine technique with presence—and this one is an experience built for connoisseurs who want to feel every layer. It doesn’t just sit in the humidor—it waits like a velvet-wrapped blade.

It’s the story of a man who left Cuba with nothing but his talent and a dream. This blend isn’t just about honoring that journey—it’s the product of it. In Privada, we gravitate toward cigars that carry weight beyond their blend sheets. La Promesa is not just a promise fulfilled—it’s a victory in smoke. Matt Booth returned to Joya de Nicaragua, the factory that helped bring the Death Bucket 2 to life, and asked for something twisted, playful, and seasonal. His answer? The same base blend, only reimagined with an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper and in his preferred 6×46 vitola—a size he calls perfect for fall nights. The band and concept leaned into the outrageous: Naked Booth himself, clad in a leopard thong and cape, reminding us that while the cigar industry carries itself seriously, it should never lose its humor or creativity. Underneath the costume, however, is a serious cigar. This is Booth’s artistry fused with Joya’s craft, refined over more than four years of Privada-controlled aging. A blend equal parts funky, nutty, spicy, and earthy—designed to shock and satisfy in equal measure. Flavor Journey First Third: Opens with wood, bread, dried fruit, leather, and hay. A nut medley of chestnut, roasted hazelnut, and hickory emerges quickly. Retrohale delivers funky cedar, dried fruit, white pepper, musty earth, and a kiss of butterscotch sweetness. Cocoa and horseradish sauce sneak in, joined by pecan, brown sugar, cedar, and fresh tarragon. Second Third: The horseradish expands, joined by dry mustard spice, musty almond, mulchy earth, mushroom notes, and dried figs. Retrohale sharpens into musty cedar and wasabi heat, shocking yet refined. Final Third: Sweetness builds—caramel, candied almonds, candied orange rind, brown sugar. Tangy Worcestershire umami and sautéed vegetables emerge, finishing with pine, applewood, roasted chestnut, citrus zest, and a return of horseradish minerality. Complex, funky, and utterly addictive—you’ll smoke it to the nub. Why It Belongs in Privada Privada thrives on turning cigars into experiences, and Naked Booth Trick-or-Treat is exactly that. Equal parts theater, artistry, and aged refinement, it captures the playful irreverence of Matt Booth while delivering a flavor performance only time and patience could unlock. This is not a cigar for the masses—it’s a collector’s Halloween piece, proof of why Privada curates what others won’t.

Ñandysy Aged 1+ Years Size: 6×52Vitola: ToroWrapper: Dominican Viso from the Cibao ValleyBinder: BrazilFillers: San Vicente, Piloto Cubano, and Flojo from ParaguayFlavor Notes: Cedar, golden raisin, white pepper, orange blossom, dried cherry, floral teas, rosemary, hay, toasted cashew, buttered toastPairing Notes: Cherry Coke, Jack Daniels, sugar cookies, raisins, roasted nuts, cafecito with toast, dried cherries, herbal teasManufacturer: Small Dominican partner factory using tobacco from Paraguay and Dominican Republic Privada Storytelling Ñandysy carries a name that speaks to dairy, milk, and cream in the Guarani language of Paraguay, a word born of the jungles of South America and now brought to life on a cigar band. When I first began working with a factory in Brazil, the connection wasn’t immediate. But when they introduced me to a small factory in Paraguay, things changed. There was something unique in what they were doing—especially with a rare tobacco called Flojo, a long-filler viso they claim has roots in Africa. This cigar represents an international dance of cultures and tobaccos: Paraguayan Flojo shipped to the Dominican Republic, where it is married with Dominican staples like San Vicente and Piloto Cubano. The result is a blend that feels familiar yet distinctly different. Creamy, floral, spiced—it speaks with its own accent. Think of it as a Dominican puro that traveled south, learned a new language, and came back changed. Ñandysy is smooth, floral, and layered, with a story that’s as fascinating as the flavors it delivers. Flavor Journey First Third: Cedar and golden raisin lead the charge, followed by orange blossom, dried cherry, and a silky velvet-like smoke. A white pepper sparkle lingers on the retrohale. Second Third: The floral bouquet expands—orange blossom becomes more defined, rose hip tea and other herbal florals appear. A cola-like effervescence rides the retrohale alongside white pepper. Final Third: The profile softens into herbal tones of dried rosemary, hay, and buttered toast. Toasted cashew adds richness while the smoke remains mellow, creamy, and smooth. Why It Belongs in Privada Ñandysy is the perfect example of how Privada brings tobaccos from overlooked corners of the world into the spotlight. Paraguayan Flojo isn’t something you’ll see anywhere else—yet here it is, shaping a cigar that is creamy, floral, and distinct. This is discovery, this is rarity, this is Privada.

The Narcos RL Aged 3+ Years is proof. Conceived by two ambitious young men from the Dominican Republic—the same duo who gave us Capos and Burnot—this cigar represents the fire of a new generation rising to reclaim the Dominican Republic’s rightful place in the world of premium cigars. Originally aged for two full years at the factory, these cigars then endured an additional three years of Privada’s signature post-production rest. The result is a smoking experience that feels mature yet vibrant, like an old soul in a youthful body. In an industry often plagued by rushed releases, Narcos RL is a bold declaration: quality is worth waiting for. Flavor Journey First Third: Opens with fresh-cut cedar and molasses, layered with honey glaze and citrus zest. A wave of charcoal smoke sharpens the edges, giving it both depth and brightness. Second Third: The orange note transforms into something softer, almost like whipped cream with a kiss of red pepper. Charred woods and floral hints weave into powdery plumes, with a white pepper retrohale adding balance. Final Third: Smoke smooths out into warm cinnamon and florals, supported by citrus zest that lingers from start to finish. A musty wood and soy sauce note anchors the final moments with depth and contrast. Why It Belongs in Privada Narcos RL isn’t just a cigar—it’s a manifesto. It tells the story of two Dominican blenders who refuse to let tradition fade, who work tirelessly to elevate their country’s tobacco heritage to the highest echelon. It belongs in Privada because it embodies our mission: to showcase passion, innovation, and craft from voices that will shape the future of cigars.

National Brand Cuban Seed Churchill may not come with flashy bands or hype-machine launches—but don’t let that fool you. Behind the understated wrapper lies a lineage of Cuban-seed Honduran tobacco that stretches back decades. It’s a nod to classic construction, steady craftsmanship, and the kind of everyday elegance you only find in cigars that were built to be smoked, not shown off. In Privada, we celebrate both the rare and the reliable—and this one is a hidden gem from the old guard. Flavor Journey From the first draw, you’re greeted with toasted cedar and roasted peanut. The retrohale brings white pepper and dry hay. As the Churchill progresses, light cocoa and baking spice unfold, dancing with bread crust and mineral-rich earth. In the final third, a hint of citrus zest and soft nutty sweetness brings closure to a clean, traditional experience. The structure remains firm, burn line steady, and the transitions subtle but satisfying. Why It Belongs in Privada Because not every cigar has to chase trends or break rules to be great. National Brand Cuban Seed is for those who appreciate heritage blending—cigars that respect the past without trying to reinvent it. It’s approachable, affordable, and honest. And in a world full of marketing noise, that kind of authenticity deserves a place in the Privada archive.

Noche en Nicaragua – June 2024 LCA+ Release Size: 6×50Vitola: ToroWrapper: Undisclosed (Speculated Nicaraguan)Binder: Undisclosed (Speculated Nicaraguan)Fillers: Undisclosed (Speculated Nicaraguan)Flavor Notes: Cocoa, espresso, cedar, black pepper, baking spice, subtle sweetnessPairing Notes: Nicaraguan rum, espresso, old fashioned, or spiced hot chocolateManufacturer: Confidential (Blended by “Mr. Robot”) Privada Storytelling The Noche en Nicaragua emerges from the shadows as June 2024’s LCA Plus release, a cigar as mysterious as the blender behind it. Crafted by the enigmatic figure known only as Mr. Robot, this toro challenges the notion of brand over blender — is it the name that makes the cigar, or the artistry in the leaf? Shrouded in secrecy, the blend details remain undisclosed, though all signs point to the rich volcanic soils of Nicaragua. What’s certain is the craftsmanship: flawless construction, intricate transitions, and a flavor profile that refuses to be ignored. Like its name — “Night in Nicaragua” — the cigar is both romantic and dangerous, a nocturnal exploration into the unknown. Flavor Journey The first third opens with bold cocoa, espresso, and cedar, wrapped in a peppery kick. Midway, the profile develops into baking spice, earth, and touches of dried fruit sweetness. The final third deepens into roasted coffee, dark chocolate, and oak, finishing with a lingering spice that stays long after the last draw. Why It Belongs in Privada The Noche en Nicaragua belongs in Privada because it perfectly encapsulates the intrigue and discovery that fuel the club. By withholding blend details and keeping the blender’s identity secret, the experience becomes entirely about the smoke itself — no preconceived notions, no marketing fluff. Just raw talent, pure tobacco, and a story written in every puff.

No shortcuts. No gimmicks. Just craft. The 10th Anniversary Limited Edition marks a milestone — ten years of grit, ten years of blends, ten years of making a name the hard way. This toro is wrapped in a dark, silky Ecuadorian Habano Maduro and packed with Nicaraguan leaf from three distinct regions. Light it and you’re met with a brief wave of mesquite and bold espresso. Then it opens — cashew, buttered toast, warm baking spice. There’s tension here, a back-and-forth of pepper and cocoa, bitter and sweet. By the final third, it hits its stride with cola-like florals, walnut skin, and lingering cedar warmth. It’s a cigar that doesn’t care to impress quickly. It asks for your time. And it rewards it. It’s a declaration. Of identity. Of independence. Of intention. Privada isn’t about cigars that follow rules. It’s about cigars that make their own. This one does exactly that.

Originally released as part of the infamous Sharpie Series, its name became the center of legal tension, but its identity never faltered. What matters most has always been the leaf—and here, the leaf tells a story. Jochy Blanco, a master of Dominican tobacco with a lineage steeped in legacy, put his touch on this project, weaving together Dominican richness with a hint of Peruvian intrigue. For three years, these cigars have been resting under Privada’s watchful aging process, evolving, deepening, and becoming something entirely unique. The sweetness that first put this cigar on the map is still present, but now it carries a spicier, more mature edge—like a jazz riff that’s been played a thousand times and somehow gets better with every note. This redux is more than a re-release. It’s a testament to what happens when patience, tradition, and defiance converge. Privada brings you back to the roots of its cult legacy, with a cigar destined not only to be smoked but to be remembered. Flavor Journey First Third: Opens with sesame seed oil, cedar, white flowers, and black pepper. A flash of horseradish and candied ginger gives the profile a sharp edge, while unripe mango adds a tart intrigue. The smoke is oily and light, carrying an almost bacon-like satisfaction. Retrohale delivers a warm ribbon of cinnamon. Second Third: The profile transitions into honey-roasted almonds, smoked paprika, sea salt, and aged cedar. Black pepper lingers while menthol adds cooling balance. Dark chocolate, tree sap, and bourbon notes meld with the cedar, creating a layered richness both earthy and refined. Final Third: Sweet woods and milk chocolate dominate, enriched by cinnamon, crème de menthe, and faint bourbon barrel. Musty olor—a signature of elite Dominican blends—appears, wrapping the experience in old-world depth. Powdery, creamy smoke leaves a lasting impression of luxury and craft. Why It Belongs in Privada Not Tony was never just a cigar; it was a movement. From the Sharpie Series to its redux after three years of Privada-controlled aging, this release embodies everything Privada stands for: boundary-pushing creativity, uncompromising quality, and the preservation of rare artistry. By placing this cigar back in your hands, Privada cements its role as curator of not only fine tobacco, but of cultural touchpoints in modern cigar history.
