AJ Fernandez Cigars AJ Fernandez New World Connecticut
AJ Fernandez New World Connecticut Size: 6 × 52Vitola: ToroWrapper: U.S. Connecticut ShadeBinder: Mexican San AndrésFillers: Nicaraguan and BrazilianFlavor Notes: Buttered toast, almond, vanilla, white pepper, hay, sweet cream, cedar, floral tea, cinnamon sugar, graham crackerPairing Notes: Vanilla latte, wheat beer, honey-glazed cashews, chamomile tea, bourbon cream, apple strudel, Amaretto, cappuccinoManufacturer: AJ Fernandez Cigar Company; produced at Tabacalera AJ Fernandez, Estelí, Nicaragua Privada Storytelling If the original New World Maduro was AJ's thunder, then the New World Connecticut is his quiet confidence. Created in collaboration with his father, this blend takes the elegance of a U.S. Connecticut wrapper and builds it on a foundation of strength, depth, and heritage. This is not your typical shade-wrapped cigar—it’s got backbone, complexity, and the kind of structure you'd expect from a master blender with something to prove. At Privada, we seek out the Connecticut cigars that push the genre forward without losing their grace. This is that cigar. Flavor Journey The first draw opens with buttered toast and a gentle crackle of white pepper. Vanilla cream and almond rise through the retrohale, while hay and cedar keep the base warm and balanced. As the cigar progresses, cinnamon sugar and floral tea tones emerge, with sweet cream softening the edges. The final third leans richer, offering graham cracker, nutty depth, and a soft mineral echo that rounds out the experience. Elegant, but never boring. Light, but far from empty. Why It Belongs in Privada Because New World Connecticut proves that mellow doesn’t mean mild. AJ took the most classic wrapper in the game and infused it with soul from Nicaragua, sweetness from Brazil, and fire from Mexico. The result is a Connecticut cigar that lives in the middle—welcoming to newcomers but layered enough for veteran palates. In Privada, we crave cigars that teach, surprise, and evolve. This one does all three.

Eladio Diaz Unbanded Delectados
Eladio Diaz Unbanded Delectados Size: 7½×52Vitola: Double CoronaWrapper: Corojo Rosado 99Binder: Barrel Aged Mexican San AndrésFillers: Corojo Original, HVA, Piloto Cubano, Habano 92Flavor Notes: Molasses, dried cherry, oak, white pepper, dried fruits, cardamom, orange liqueur, pinewood sap, ripe plum, vanilla, golden raisin, cinnamon, chocolatePairing Notes: Aged rum, rich fruit cake, dark hot chocolate with cinnamon, or a spiced winter aleManufacturer: Eladio Diaz (Delectados for Privada Cigar Club) Privada Storytelling Eladio Diaz is a legend. For decades, he was the blending mastermind behind Davidoff, crafting some of the most celebrated cigars in modern history. After departing in 2017, he continued his journey with the rebirth of Delectados, a brand whispered about in cigar folklore and immortalized on the silver screen in James Bond films. With Privada, Eladio revives the magic—only this time, it’s unbanded. The Unbanded Delectados is as much a statement as it is a cigar. Rolled in paper moulds, a technique once reserved for Spanish royalty, it reminds us of a time when the most precious cigars carried no band at all, meant only for those “in the know.” This release captures that timeless mystique, offering a holiday smoke steeped in tradition, luxury, and storytelling only Eladio could deliver. Flavor Journey First Third: A lush entry of molasses, dried cherry, and oak. Velvety smoke carries white pepper, dried fruits, and flashes of cardamom with a kiss of orange liqueur. Pinewood sap lingers in the background, building intrigue. Second Third: The body swells with sugar cane sweetness and ripe plum. Vanilla threads through the retrohale, where a nostalgic candy note—like Sprees—reminds you this is Eladio at his most playful and complex. Final Third: A crescendo of golden raisin, white pepper, and cinnamon. The smoke turns chocolatey and creamy, blending seamlessly with fruitcake-like layers of spice, sweetness, and oak. A true holiday feast for the palate. Why It Belongs in Privada Privada thrives on exclusivity, history, and authenticity—and the Unbanded Delectados is all three. This is Eladio Diaz at his most personal, crafting something that transcends a cigar and becomes a moment in time. The unbanded look and the ancient rolling method speak to connoisseurs who value the story as much as the smoke. It’s not just a cigar, it’s a lesson in heritage, blending, and restraint.

The Tight Draw Supreme was crafted over a year and a half at the legendary Montenegro factory, in the iconic Helado (“ice cream”) section known for producing some of the world’s most consistent and flavorful cigars. Built with an exceptional Ecuadorian Habano wrapper and a special Cuban-seed binder from Jalapa, this was designed to be a luxury release with an $18 price tag. But after aging, these cigars emerged with a draw slightly firmer than intended. For most companies, this would have meant a failed project. For Privada, it became an opportunity: a rare chance to smoke a $20-level cigar at a fraction of the cost. With a draw poker or an appreciation for resistance, the Tight Draw Supreme transforms into an elegant, flavorful experience — a lesson that perfection sometimes comes with quirks. Flavor Journey The first puffs introduce roasted coffee and cedar, steady and bold. As the cigar opens up, red pepper notes flicker across the palate, balanced by sweet cream and toasted bread. Midway, subtle cocoa adds depth, creating a profile that is rich without overwhelming. The finish is long, smooth, and quietly complex, rewarding patience and attention. Why It Belongs in Privada Privada has always been about finding value in rarity — not just expensive cigars, but experiences that can’t be replicated. The Tight Draw Supreme fits this perfectly: a boutique-level blend that would normally command triple its cost, offered here because of a small imperfection. It’s a reminder that discovery is what Privada does best.

Tabacalera Chalet Las Palomitas PCC Aged 1.5+ Years
Tabacalera Chalet Las Palomitas PCC Aged 1.5+ Years Size: 6×52Vitola: ToroWrapper: Connecticut ShadeBinder: UndisclosedFillers: UndisclosedFlavor Notes: Pie crust, honey, toasted cereal, black pepper, butter, golden almond, cedar, whipped cream, orange essencePairing Notes: Peach pie, Honeycomb cereal, coffee, powdered sugar donuts, yellow cake, croissant, scotch, breakfast sausage, waffles, honey, orange tea, Blue Moon with an orange slice, butterscotchManufacturer: Tabacalera Chalet (Nicaragua) Privada Storytelling Las Palomitas is one of those Privada discoveries that proves why this community exists. The story begins in Estelí, Nicaragua, when I was visiting my brother AJ Fernandez. Instead of staying put in the factory, we decided to cruise through town. We ended up at a soccer field where factory workers from across Estelí gather to play, talk, and escape the rolling tables for a bit. Curious stares turned into conversation when my guide told them who I was: el gringo puro—the gringo obsessed with cigars. After a few laughs and cervezas, some of the men revealed they’d been quietly rolling their own cigars in a makeshift chinchalle—a tiny factory set up in what used to be a restaurant. Six rolling stations, dim light, and an aging room that shocked me: thousands of perfectly rolled Connecticut Shade sticks stacked and waiting. They handed me one. I lit it. Within minutes, I knew I had stumbled onto something special. Right then, a deal was made, and history was written. This cigar isn’t about polish or pretense—it’s about pure passion. It’s about the underdogs of Estelí, the ones rolling cigars after their shifts at the big factories, building their dream one leaf at a time. When you smoke the Las Palomitas, you’re not just tasting tobacco—you’re tasting hustle, community, and a little rebellion. Flavor Journey First Third: Opens with pie crust, butter, and sugar, immediately giving off a warm pastry quality. A blast of black and red pepper retrohale kicks things up, while whipped cream and toasted cereal ride underneath. Notes of cedar and golden almond appear, creating a sweet-savory balance. Second Third: The sweetness intensifies into something like wet powdered sugar. Cedar turns slightly piney, while hints of Malibu coconut rum sneak into the profile. Pie crust, honey, hay, and cream dominate, supported by a mellower black pepper. Final Third: Still pastry-like with dominant notes of crust and butter. Honey and roasted almond develop into something reminiscent of Honeycomb cereal. Creamy smoke lingers with touches of orange zest, fried sweetness, and cedar. The finish is syrupy and golden, both comforting and addictive. Why It Belongs in Privada This is Privada at its best—an underground discovery that no one else could have brought to light. A cigar that sat quietly in a shadowy chinchalle, waiting for someone to believe in it. A cigar that tells the story of Estelí’s workers creating something for themselves, outside the spotlight of the big factories. By sharing Las Palomitas with our members, we celebrate not only the flavor but the audacity of these craftsmen to carve their own path.

This new Straight Jacket is born from a fresh crop of the original Eiroa Cuban seed Corojo — the same lineage brought from Cuba to Honduras before the blue mold crisis forced Cuba to hybridize their tobacco forever. That makes this seed not just rare, but historic. What you’re about to smoke is pure, unaltered Corojo in its truest form, grown the way the Eiroas have always believed it should be. The cigar arrives in a vitola never seen before for this line, a 6 x 52 toro, wearing completely redesigned artwork that looks as intense as the blend beneath it. It is a revival, a tribute, and a statement rolled into one, crafted with the unmistakable fingerprints of Tom Lazuka and Christian Eiroa. This is Straight Jacket reborn. And this time, it’s exclusive to the LCA. Flavor Journey The first puffs explode with classic Corojo spice: red pepper, earth, and cedar rushing across the palate with unapologetic force. As the burn settles in, the profile deepens into leather, toasted wood, and a natural sweetness that only authentic Cuban seed Corojo delivers. By the halfway point, the flavors layer into a rich, full-bodied cadence that feels both old world and intensely modern. The final third closes with powerful earth, warm spice, and a lingering depth that stays long after the cigar is finished. Why It Belongs in Privada Because this is exactly what LCA was designed to deliver: access to heritage that would otherwise disappear. A rare seed. A discontinued line. A legendary profile resurrected for one moment only. Straight Jacket represents history, craft, and flavor in their purest forms, and Privada members appreciate cigars with a real story behind the smoke. Production Notes A full Honduran puro built entirely from original Eiroa Cuban seed Corojo, grown in Honduras and selected specifically for this limited revival. Rolled in a first-time 6 x 52 toro format and banded with newly redesigned artwork created for this exclusive release. Highlights Return of a fan favorite discontinued in 2022Pure Eiroa Cuban seed Corojo heritageFirst ever 6 x 52 toro Straight JacketExclusive to LCA retailersCrafted under the direction of Tom Lazuka and Christian Eiroa
